Florida: Always a war

The LSU-Florida rivalry has grown to epic proportions over the past couple years. From the 2016 Hurricane Matthew debacle where Florida was angry that LSU offered to play the game in Baton Rouge to the 2017 match-up where LSU put the ignorant Jim McElwain in his place, this rivalry is at one of its hottest points in history.

Florida’s offense has improved since 2017, the defense is still talented, and the desperation could be setting in after falling behind early in the SEC with a loss to Kentucky. The stage for a classic showdown between these two schools is set.

Here’s an interesting statistic to note: LSU has won in Gainsville in three of their last four appearances. The combined margin of victory in those three games is just eight points.
