From the looks of Jeremy Pruitt’s rookie season, it may be time to focus on recruiting and bench Jarrett Guarantano. Even with a Nick Saban like coach, it is going to take a veteran player to teach the younger ones a lesson.
The best quarterback they’ve had in recent memory? Go back as far as Erik Ainge in 2007 (3,522 yards, 31 touchdowns). No quarterback at Tennessee has been anywhere near that since, and not even Butch Jones could bring that level of intensity.
What is the real key under center? Solid performances and bigger numbers and Bryant can most likely provide those.
