Could it have been any other two teams?

  1. Alabama
  2. Georgia

It’s not really fair. Year in and year out, Alabama has a top rated defense, multiple first round selections, and arguably the best head coach in college football. The one thing they never had before was a top-level quarterback to really command their offense. The key word in that sentence was “had“.

Now that Tua Tagovailoa is at the helm, Alabama has unlocked a monster of an offense. Sporting a slew of great weapons and a physical offensive line, Alabama has the tools to knock off anyone in their path. Throw in their talented play-makers at all levels of their defense, and it seems this team might not be stopped.

The Dawgs look incredible

Georgia might not have the statistical success of the Alabama offense, but with Jake Fromm at quarterback, a multitude of weapons, and an extremely physical and fast defense, Georgia has joined Alabama in the top-tier of the SEC.

Georgia already has a good win going into Columbia and beating South Carolina. Their top five defense and extremely talented offense will be put to the test in two weeks when they travel to Baton Rouge. It’s a game they should win, but in the SEC, anything can happen.
