The SEC East plays a part in picks for Week Six of SEC Football. Three of these mentioned still control their own destiny as Georgia gets tested by Vanderbilt at home.

This is “Busters and Losers”, a new take on SEC Football that hopefully everyone will enjoy.

A lot of surprising games and some expectations were fulfilled since the start of SEC Football 2018, but not exactly as we anticipated. This leads to my choices of which games will be meaningful on the week of October 6.

This will involve mostly the SEC East which includes a rivalry game unlike no other.

Loser Game!

Missouri at South Carolina

Time:  Noon ET

Where: Williams-Brice Stadium, Columbia

TV: SEC Network

Despite Mizzou ranked fifth in the East (3-1, 0-1 SEC), they are not exactly out of the race yet and must travel to their Columbia counterpart to hopefully improve their chances of winning their respected division. The Gamecocks on the other hand are on the outside looking in at 2-2 (0-2 SEC).

But this is an unofficial rivalry that is dubbed the “Columbia Bowl”. Since Missouri joined the SEC, the Gamecocks have won four of the first six meetings (4-4 in all time matchups). This is the perfect time to watch and see if Mizzou QB Drew Lock is still Heisman worthy.

Although South Carolina was not able to hang with Kentucky last week as expected, the Gamecocks did show some promise in the second half defensively. The real question is, will Jake Bentley be able to play after injuring his knee.

Even if healthy, Lock could have his guns blazing before Bentley warms up.
