2009: Alabama vs Florida
Alabama was challenging Florida and trying to stop the Gators from going undefeated in 2009. On December 5th, 2009 the SEC championship was decided in the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia. The winner between the then number one ranked Florida Gators and the number two ranked Alabama Crimson Tide would eventually play the Big 12 champion Texas Longhorns in the national championship. This was the first time any conference championship game had featured two undefeated teams.
The Florida Gators were favored by five points, but Alabama dominated 32-13 winning the SEC championship. The Alabama Crimson Tide went on to beat Texas 37-21, won the national championship, and finished the season with a 14-0 record.
