Another year gone by and the same result, its Alabama versus Clemson for the National Championship. In the last few years we have seen the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Clemson Tigers play for the chance to go to the championship or for the National title.

Number five: 1975 Alabama 56 Clemson 0

The beginning of Paul Bear Bryant’s second head coaching career peak, this was the second game of the 1975 season. It was the first win of many for the Alabama Crimson Tide that season and they ended up going on to beat Penn State in the Sugar Bowl 13-6.

The Crimson Tide had won eleven straight games in Bear Bryant’s eighteenth season, but it all started with a 56-0 blowout victory over Clemson. This game even hooked recruits to Alabama such as Bill Searcey, an offensive lineman who was watching in the stands on his official visit.
