Alabama football: who’s returning – update
By Damon Bair
While the Nation celebrates the Alabama football team’s loss, Alabama fans can turn their attention to who returns for the 2019 Alabama football season.
UPDATE: Quennin Williams, Joshua Jacobs, Jonah Williams, Irv Smith Jr., Saivion Smith, and Deionte Thompson will be leaving the Alabama football program.
Once every two years or so the country rejoices as Nick Saban and the Alabama football team face defeat in the National Championship game. One benefit that can come from the loss is that NFL ready football players return to the University of Alabama to “finish what we started” or “take care of unfinished business”.
As the January 14th deadline for college players to declare for the 2019 NFL Draft approaches, it’s time to review the Alabama football players who can declare and those who will return. Alabama is at least losing 4 starters from the 2019 College Football Championship game, 3 offensive and 2 defensive.
