A.J. Rose

A.J. Rose had two 100-yard rushing games and finished with 442 yards.  He’s 6-1 208 pounds, and The rising junior showed the most promise behind Snell and was his roommate.

The redshirt freshman beat out King for the second running back spot and earned some playing time.

Rose has a tremendous upsize to him that he can use to his advantage. He is a natural athlete and will only grow more into his body. Since arriving on campus in 2015, Rose has put on a good 20 pounds.  He is not only strong but fast as well.

The junior seems to have a high football IQ and can pick up on things fast.

Instead of a ground and pound back like Snell, Rose is a more versatile running back. He doesn’t have to run like he’s mad but runs strategically making opponents miss.

Rose is an explosive player that will earn good chunk yards forcing more than one player to tackle him.

Instead of focusing solely on finding one running back to be the premier guy, a good idea would be to run the ball by committee.

The Wildcats have gotten comfortable being able to depend on Snell. Now it’s time for Rose to step up and either become the premier back or share the load with one of the others.
