Tigers stand proud

Jack Stripling in the Chronicle of Higher Education called the UNC scandal “the most pervasive academic fraud at a major research university in at least a generation.”

While University wide academic fraud violates the trust placed in the institution, it’s not the NCAA’s problem. It’s North Carolina’s problem, and time will tell if the Tar Heels can live with devaluing the diploma of every UNC graduate to keep its basketball team in the top five and sellout the Dean E. Smith Student Activities Center.

I’m guessing here, but yea, probably.

No Tiger sellout

Missouri, unlike North Carolina, did not sell out its diploma holding graduates. For demonstrating that the Missouri Tigers are shy on commitment to inappropriate academic assistance, the Tigers stand proud.

However, it does seem at least someone in Columbia, Missouri wanted to give the program a little boost.  In fact, one student had an entire course completed by, and work submitted by, a math tutor. This reflects Missouri‘s ultimate failing – Missouri unfortunately did not have a North Carolina like system for academic misconduct  in place.

Did I sat unfortunately?

No. It’s not unfortunate.
