WHEN: March 9 @ 2 p.m. ET

TV: CBS

WHERE: Rupp Arena, Lexington, KY

Kentucky and Florida don’t face off again until the last week of regular season play. However, this game will be one to keep an eye out for because Florida is a team that can throw its opponents for a loop.

The Gators recently upset an LSU team who defeated Kentucky on Feb. 12. So now this game gets a little more interesting.

Florida currently ties with Auburn for 7th place in the SEC. With a 7-6 conference record, the Gators need to close out the season on a good note.

The last three games for the Gators will be tough with a Georgia team on the verge of a breakout, LSU looking for revenge and then Kentucky.

Kentucky has a similar situation. Despite sitting pretty in second place, the Wildcats need to watch out for Auburn, Tennessee again, Ole Miss and Florida. All these teams want to get the Wildcats out of the way and let someone else win the SEC Championship for a change.

Game one between these two ended with a Kentucky 65-54 win in Gainesville. The Gators never really found a rhythm and that is the biggest thing to avoid when playing Kentucky.

This rematch maybe 15 days away, but it’s one to circle. Florida upset LSU who handled Kentucky and like with football any given day any given team can find a way to win. It’ll come down to who wants it more.

Prediction

Sorry Gator fans, but Kentucky is an overall better team with a starting five that will likely be completely healthy for this game. With P.J. Washington leading the way, the Wildcats finish the regular season out on a high note and sweep the Gators 70-60.
