How Auburn upsets the Vols

Both teams have something to fight for in this game. Most didn’t think that Auburn could make it to the title game, yet here they are.

In the SEC Tournament, the Tigers average 73 points and is shooting 45 percent from the floor, 39.4 from the arc, and 68.2 from the foul line.

Auburn must not only match those numbers against Tennessee but improve them while slowing down Williams and company.

The key for Auburn is to slow down that Tennessee offense and don’t let them get into a groove. Once the Vols get rolling it is hard to stop them.

Auburn’s Bryce Brown needs to stay hot. He averages 15.7 points and has made at least three 3-pointers in the SEC Tournament games. Brown needs to keep shooting the three and make Tennessee guard that perimeter tight.

The Tigers need Jared Harper to keep contributing his numbers as well. Harper averages 17.3 points in tournament games. He is also coming off two 20-point games. Harper needs to find a way to stay hot and compliment Brown.

Auburn has a chance, but it will have to have these two guys along with others contributing and slowing down that Tennessee machine.
