And the Winner is…

After breaking down the two quarterbacks and what they have done during their times at their universities, the answer is simple.

Jake Fromm is the overall better quarterback. He commands his team like a general and his team follows him. Franks doesn’t have that quite yet because he only has one full season as the starter.

However, that isn’t the only thing that makes Fromm a better starting quarterback. He had better stats for one, and he beat Franks in the head-to-head battle.

Fromm doesn’t shy away from a  big stage and performs well on them. Franks biggest stage was against Michigan in the Peach Bowl, and he did well. However, Fromm has four times more big stage experience.

Franks continues to grow, but right now Fromm is the more complete quarterback. His confidence comes through in every level of the game.

As for Franks, he is still growing into his confidence, and that will come once he has more snaps under his belt.

However, for now, if you put the two together and did the same drills, physically and mentally, I    believe Fromm would be the more productive quarterback.

The argument for Franks can be there, but at the same time, it cannot. Fromm has twice the experience along with trust from his staff. Then you look at Franks, and he wasn’t trusted enough in 2017 before Dan Mullen gave him his shot last year.

Fromm wins the quarterback battle for now. However, who knows what will happen in the future with both of these quarterbacks. Franks and Fromm will be both be top quarterbacks in 2019 and the last week in October should be a lot of fun to watch.
