#2 Wilson needs a little Fine Tuning

One of the most positive things the Wildcats have this offseason is having Terry Wilson back for another season at quarterback. Wilson had a lot of ups and downs last season.

It was his first year as the starting quarterback, so of course, there will be a learning curve. However, as a first-year starter and a sophomore, he led the team to a ten win season.

Wilson completed 180-of-268 passes for 1,889 yards 11 touchdowns and eight interceptions.

He did have a good completion rate as he completed 67 percent of his passes last year.

His biggest role last year was to be a true game manager. With a back like Snell, handing the ball off worked a majority of the time. However, if he had to use his feet, he could as well. Wilson ran for 547 yards and four scores.

This spring needs to be about his development and working on his passes. The Wildcats desperately need to balance out their offense, and that starts with Wilson being confident enough to make those passes.

Wilson has the targets to do it with too. Lynn Bowden returns after having an impressive season. The wide receiver led the Wildcats with 67 catches for 745 yards and five touchdowns. Bowden and Wilson need to bond this spring so he can have a go-to receiver in the fall.

He showed what he could do with his feet last season, but now he has to improve his passing game if the Wildcats want to match last years ten wins.
