Same conference, new options

I’m sure that Nick Saban isn’t too thrilled to lose his second Tagovailoa in one season, but the chance to fumble a talented sophomore quarterback to another SEC school would make it that much worse.

Realistically, I think that Taulia will want to move closer to his brother and play in a program where he is touted as the clear-cut starter. And when looking at the SEC, there’s really not a good fit for a combination of those preferences.

But I can’t read minds and there’s also a strong possibility that the sophomore quarterback will want to continue his collegiate career in the SEC.

And if does decide to do so, the likely prospect will probably be a program that lacks in the quarterback department. Ultimately, the decision to move to another highly publicized team will be risky, but it could prove to be useful.

Plus, a game against his former teammates and coaches would be a must-watch event.

If this is the route that he chooses to go down, we may witness an iteration of the Jalen Hurts-Alabama matchup that we never got the chance to see.
