Texas A&M Aggies. 873. Scouting Report. Quarterback. Kellen Mond. 2nd. player. Pick Analysis

Kellen Mond is a familiar face within the Texas A&M program after starting all but four games throughout his tenure with the Aggies.

During his three-year stint, Mond has thrown for a whopping 7,379 yards and accounted for 70 touchdowns through the air and on the ground.

It’s likely that the senior will end up in the record books for A&M, as he only lacks 633 yards through the air to pass Johnny Manziel and Jerrod Johnson for all-time leading passer in Aggie’s history.

He could also take the number one spot for all-time passing touchdowns, completions, and passing attempts.

Everyone knows that Mond is one of the best quarterbacks in the SEC, but many question his consistency after experiencing many ups and downs.

Nonetheless, the 6’3 dual-threat quarterback will look to refine in 2020 with the help of his two former 4-star tight ends in Jalen Wydermyer and the redshirt freshman Baylor Cupp.

The Aggies also added a prolific 5-star receiver in Demond Demas after losing two key starters- Quartney Davis and Kendrick Rogers.

Jimbo Fisher will also be returning four starters on the offensive line which should prove to be helpful.

Altogether there shouldn’t be too many drop offs on offense which will prove to be good news for Mond as he wraps up his career and heads into his final year in Aggieland.

Expect Mond to have another solid season and emerge, once again, as one of the most skilled quarterbacks in the entire conference.
