SEC Football Fan Rankings: LSU
The top three on this list are really hard to separate because all three have huge, passionate fanbases and are always seen and heard nationwide. LSU falls to three on this list simply because – outside of postseason or neutral site games – they don’t travel as well as the top two teams.
That said, there are few fan bases in any sport quite as passionate and tuned-in as the Tiger Nation and the Bayou Bengals.
Tiger Stadium at night is one of the toughest venues and times to play in the nation, and the LSU fanbase is a big reason for that. They make sure the visiting team and smattering of their fans know that they’re in enemy territory.
The bold purple and gold colors pop everywhere LSU fans go, and they literally hunt down any word with a long O pronunciation so they can substitute their trademark “eaux” in its place.
They show up for rivalries, they sellout Tiger Stadium regularly and they have a huge national following, making them one of the best of the best in terms of SEC football fanbases.
