SEC Football Fan Rankings: Tennessee

Big Orange Nation is at it again, trying to convince everyone (mostly themselves) that Tennessee is back. This year they may actually have a legitimate claim.

After a horrific start to 2019 and a general feeling that head coach Jeremy Pruitt would be done before Thanksgiving dinner was served, the Vols made an impressive six-game run and the fanbase stuck with them through both the bad and the good.

Despite that, there are still a lot of grumblings in Vol Nation and not everyone is sold on Pruitt. Tennessee has done an okay job beating most of the teams they were supposed to beat, but still struggles against the elite of the SEC, leading to a lot of dissension in the fanbase.

Hopefully, 2020 will see more activity from Tennessee fans beyond grumbling and griping or calling (once again) for a coach to be fired. When the Vols are good, this is a passionate and fun fanbase. Unfortunately, it’s been well over a decade since Tennessee was truly a consistently good team.

Keep it loud, Vol fans, but make it more positive.
