SEC Football Fan Rankings: Ole Miss

Ole Miss fans are truly excited for the first time in years, hoping that Lane Kiffin can pick up the pieces and put the Rebel Nation back together again.

It’s hard not to feel bad for Ole Miss, they’ve had a tough go of it for the last … ohhhh … 15 to 20 years or more. The Rebels haven’t tasted any real longterm consistent success since the late 1960s and early 1970s, save a couple of pockets of nice seasons here and there.

One thing Kiffin always manages to do is to excite a fanbase and get them rallying around him. How he manages this despite his track record of hopping from team to team like he was on a college football coaching version of a pub crawl is beyond understanding.

The inhabitants of The Grove are loyal and always seem positive, despite any awful things that happen to their coach or their team, and for that, they get a lot of credit.

2020 should be a fun year in Oxford, and if the fans keep building their support and voices the way they have since Kiffin’s hiring it’s possible we could see a return by College GameDay to the Mississippi campus.

There’s a lot of Hotty Toddy going on in social media these days.
