SEC Football Fan Rankings: Mississippi State

Perhaps they aren’t the best team in the conference or in their division. Perhaps they’re the only SEC school who has never won a national title in any team sport. Perhaps they should be sitting, chin on hands, with the teams in the first slide of this article.

But not Mississippi State. No way.

Cowbells in hand, the Mississippi State fanbase always turns out and always gets loud. You could tell them the entire football team was stranded at an airport in Calcutta, and they’d still come out to the game expecting a win.

How can you not love a fanbase who embraced and then excommunicated Stingray?

You don’t have to look hard on social media to find a #HailState or #Clanga hashtag, with lots of love coming from the West’s Bulldog Nation.

Now that incredibly wise, talented, wacky head coach Mike Leach has been added to the mix in Starkville, there may be no stopping this fanbase in 2020. If they start winning regularly, they’ll become a group of fans to contend with.
