Feleipe Franks will join Arkansas football in 2020

Arkansas quarterbacks struggled immensely last season. When the entire unit throws for more interceptions than combined touchdowns, it kind of makes it difficult to find your #1 guy.

This is where the former Florida Gator will come into play.

After dealing with inconsistencies throughout his freshman year, Franks saw major improvements in 2018. He managed to accumulate 2,457 yards through the air, accounting for 24 touchdowns and only 6 interceptions.

The 6’6 quarterback went into the 2019 season as the starter, but following a leg injury against Kentucky, Kyle Trask ultimately took his job.

But don’t this fool you. Trask is now a serious Heisman candidate that may lead the Gators to a Playoff berth this year. If it wasn’t for his unlikely rise, Franks would still be Mullen’s quarterback in Gainesville.

Now that Franks is an Arkansas Razorback, he’ll look to bring along his most prized attribute- arm strength.

Exhibit A:

But one of Franks most underrated qualities is his ability to beat teams with his legs. Gator fans were routinely shocked at his capacity to outrun defenders and find a way to pick up improbable yardage.

Exhibit B:

And with the return of Boyd, we should see a deadly backfield that has the chance to torch teams in numerous ways.

It wouldn’t be all that shocking to see a few RPO plays added to the Hog’s playbook, thanks to the Franks-Boyd tandem.
