Alabama football: Inside Linebacker (Mike)

Projected Starter: Dylan Moses (RS-JR)

There’s very little doubt that Dylan Moses will return to his starting role after suffering a season-ending injury in 2019. Moses is the anchor of the defense, and a pivotal piece that was lost last year. While this may just be his last season before heading to the NFL, we should expect to see a lot of positive production from Moses.

Second Team: Shane Lee (SO)

After Moses’s injury, Shane Lee was expected to step up- and step up he certainly did. After accumulating 86 tackles, 2 forced fumbles, 1 interception and 4.5 sacks, Lee was granted All-SEC honors. Thanks to his experience, the Tide will enjoy significant depth at Mike linebacker. This is perhaps the strongest position on the entire roster in 2020.

Reserves: Jaylen Moody (JR)

After providing valuable reps in 2019, it’s unlikely that we’ll see much of Moody thanks to Moses and Lee. Still, we should expect for Moody to play a key role in special teams duties as he attempts to navigate through the deep depth at inside linebacker.
