UGA Football Dream Coaching Staff – Offensive Coordinator/QB Coach

Mike Bobo. 2. player. 850. . Offensive Coordinator. Gamecocks

For all the grumbling and complaining that went on while Mike Bobo was Georgia’s offensive coordinator, there sure have been a lot of people crying to bring him back to Athens.

After leaving Georgia to take the head coach position at Colorado State, Bobo found that sitting in the big chair wasn’t all it was cracked up to be. He had moderate to less than stellar success with the Rams and was relieved of his duties after the 2019 season.

It would be much more comfortable having Bobo run the Dawgs offense than having to face him as a member of the Gamecocks.

We’d need to see more than one season from Lanning before we tab him as part of the Dream Team.

UGA Football Dream Coaching Staff – Running Backs Coach

. RB Coach. Los Angeles Rams. Thomas Brown. 3. player. 51

Thomas Brown, currently the running backs coach with the Los Angeles Rams, would be the perfect guy to keep Georgia’s already potent running game on track. He’s one of the most sought-after assistant coaches in the league, and his experience as both a player and coach with the Bulldogs would make him the ideal man for this job.

UGA Football Dream Coaching Staff – Offensive Line Coach

. OL Coach. Volunteers . Will Friend. 4. player. 839

One of the biggest coaching losses the Bulldogs saw when Mike Bobo left for Colorado State was offensive line coach (and recruiting Jedi) Will Friend. Not only did Georgia’s offensive line flourish while Friend was in charge, but his ability to recruit some of the top talent in the nation was a huge plus. He’s now doing that same thing for Tennessee.

UGA Football Dream Coaching Staff – Wide Receivers Coach

player. 887. . WR Coach. Commodores . Tony Ball. 5

Tony Ball coached for nine seasons at Georgia (2006-14) and the wide receivers he coached in 2012 and 2013 were part of two of the most potent offenses in Georgia Bulldogs history. The 2012 offense broke the UGA record for total yards (6,547) and touchdowns (72), and the 2013 offense broke a school record by averaging 484.2 yards per game.

If Ball was good enough to coach A.J. Green, Marlon Brown, Chris Conley, Tavarres King and Malcolm Mitchell, he’s good enough for this list.
