. . Najee Harris. 1. player. 829.

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before, but Alabama has a really, really good running back as we enter the season. Najee Harris is just the next man up in a long line of quality backs come out of Tuscaloosa.

Harris is a tireless worker and a bonafide superstar on a team full of future first-round draft picks. Last year he rushed for 1,224 yards and 13 touchdowns along with 27 catches for another 304 yards and seven more touchdowns. On a team chock full of weapons, Harris was by far one of the most consistent and dangerous in 2019.

Harris knows the end zone, and he also knows how to keep himself in shape while being locked out of the gym.

The Alabama senior should be one of the top Heisman candidates but will need some better play-calling and overall use from offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian to keep himself on that list.

Either way, look for a big year from Harris in what will likely be a “chip on our shoulder” season for the Crimson Tide.
