How do all fourteen SEC football programs stack up in all-time records?
SEC football fans love to claim bragging rights, so as we head into the 2020 season (perhaps) a list of how each program stacks up nationally and within the conference in all-time wins and winning percentage seems to be in order.
Obviously, the true measure of a program’s greatness is winning conference and national championships, but for now, a pure ranking based on the number of wins and win percentage will bring at least a little joy to fans of the programs who win a lot, but just can’t close the deal.
All stats provided are per the NCAA’s official record books and mcubed.net
SEC Football No. 14 – Mississippi State Bulldogs
National Wins Rank: 73rd
National Win Pct. Rank: 95th (No. 13 in SEC)
Most Wins vs SEC Opponent: Ole Miss (48)
Most Losses vs SEC Opponent: Alabama (84)
Best Record vs SEC Opponent: Vanderbilt (.636)
Worst Record vs SEC Opponent: Alabama (.178)
Along with being the only SEC school without a national championship in any team sport, Mississippi State is also saddled with the fewest number of wins in the football program (at least for a few more years).
