Like LSU, Georgia always has quality teams on their schedule, including the yearly meetings with Florida and Auburn. For a program that hasn’t won a national championship in 40 years, there are a lot of wins compiled there. That’s a lot of “almosts” for Georgia fans.

Still, any program that ranks in the top 15 nationally in both total wins and winning percentage is doing something right.

SEC Football No. 2 – Tennessee Volunteers

Tennessee has been struggling for so long it’s easy for people to forget just how good the Vols were for many years. They have the second-best overall winning percentage among SEC teams, and — along with Auburn — have more wins against Alabama than any team in the conference.

The Phil Fulmer years account for many of Tennessee’s wins, as do the solid seasons with the late Johnny Majors at the helm. Tennessee is true SEC royalty.
