SEC Baseball: Preseason power rankings for 2022 season

A conference that owns many of the nation’s top teams entering the year, the 2022 SEC Baseball season has now officially arrived.

With play set to begin across the conference this Friday, you could make a legit argument for anywhere from four-to-five teams entering the year as the favorite to win the SEC this season. Yes, a group that includes both the 2021 national champion and national runner-up, SEC Baseball is as you’d expect, loaded with talent once again this season.

Even despite losing names such as Kumar Rocker, Jack Leiter, Kevin Kopps, and Tanner Allen from a year ago, the conference overall returned many of the nation’s top players and coaches, as well as having added a few.

Before the season begins however, it is important to take a look at the conference and its’ teams overall in anticipation of the year beginning.

So, here are the preseason power rankings for the conference as we enter the 2022 SEC Baseball season, along with names to know for each team, what each team lost from last season, and the biggest question mark for each entering the year.
