13. Texas A&M Aggies

The first of two teams in SEC Baseball with new coaches this season, Texas A&M will be entering year No. 1 under new head coach Jim Schlossnagle, and will have to replace multiple names from a team that went 29-27 a year ago, and 9-21 in the SEC.

Among those names, the Aggies did lose two of their top hitters in Will Frizzell and Ray Alejo, as well as others including Mikey Hoehner, Bryce Blaum, Ty Coleman, and more. In the rotation, Dustin Saenz, Bryce Miller, and Chris Weber are key losses, while closer Chandler Jozwiak will also have to be replaced.

The Aggies do return two starters from last season headlined by outfielder Austin Bost and shortstop Kalae Harrison, as well as two notable pitchers in Nathan Dettmer and Jonathan Childress. In addition to those four, Texas A&M could also see big 2022 seasons from a few other returning options such as outfielders Logan Britt and Jordan Thompson, as well as relievers Joseph Menefee and Alex Magers.

As for the other half of the roster, Texas A&M brings in numerous instant-impact transfers, some of which will likely be among the Aggies top hitters such as Dylan Rock, Kole Kaler, Troy Claunch, and Jack Moss.

The biggest question mark for Texas A&M entering the year will be in the lineup, with multiple new names likely playing key roles. The potential impact that those new names have will likely decide how far this Aggies team can go in 2022.
