Abram announced his commitment to the Rebels via a tweet on Saturday night.

3-star PG Amaree Abram commits to Ole Miss Basketball

As mentioned previously, Abram is a three-star point guard from Southern California Academy in Castaic, CA, and is currently rated as the No. 158 overall player in the Class of 2022 according to the 247Sports Composite. In addition to that, Abram is also rated as the No. 17 overall player in the state of California, as well as the No. 24 point guard nationally.

A former Texas A&M commit who de-committed from the Aggies back in November, Abram committed to the Rebels other a list of other schools that also included DePaul, Louisville, Maryland, and St. John’s.

A fast-rising point guard who was one of the 2022 classes top remaining uncommitted players, Abram is a bigger guard at 6-foot-3 who has the ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor as an impactful defender, as well as a player who can create for both himself and others offensively.

Looking at the Rebels 2022 class as well, the addition of Abram brings the class to four total commits, good for seventh-best in the SEC, as well as No. 26 nationally according to the 247Sports Team Rankings. Joining Abram in this Ole Miss Basketball 2022 class are two other three-star guards in TJ Caldwell (Faith Family Academy of Oak Cliff, TX) and Southern California Academy teammate Robert Cowherd, as well as four-star center Malique Ewin (Berkmar, GA) who is the fifth highest-rated recruit in Rebels history.

Now the second-highest rated recruit in Ole Miss’ 2022 class, Abram will likely be an instant-impact guard for the Rebels next season.
