S Anthony Rose – South Carolina Gamecocks

You could honestly say that South Carolina’s other defensive back early-enrollee, Peyton Williams, is also a name to watch for, but you could also argue that Rose could be the more-intriguing name to watch going into the spring.

A versatile defensive back at 6-foot-3 and 180 pounds, the three-star played for one of the top teams in Florida last season (Miami-Central), and has the potential to see the field very-early next season for the Gamecocks at either safety or cornerback. While Rose likely won’t start for South Carolina next season to begin the year, the three-star could be an important depth piece in the secondary, while also likely an impactful player on special teams.

DL Tyre West – Tennessee Volunteers

While freshman offensive lineman Addison Nichols could also be set to make an early impact in Knoxville next season, the arguable name to watch for comes on the other side of the ball in West, a former Georgia commit.

A four-star prospect from Tift County High School in Tifton, GA, West is a player who can lineup at various spots along the defensive line at 6-foot-3 and 280 pounds, and could play a key role on the Volunteers defensive front due to his versatility. Having extensive experience playing against elite competition in high school, West could make an impact at Tennessee on the defensive line very-early next season.
