2022 NCAA Tournament Game Today: Arkansas vs Gonzaga Line, Predictions, Odds, TV Channel & Live Stream for NCAA Tournament

The final SEC team remaining in the 2022 NCAA Tournament, Arkansas takes center stage on Thursday night when the Razorbacks take on the No. 1 overall seed Gonzaga Bulldogs in one of the top overall matchups of the Sweet 16.
A four-seed in the 2022 NCAA Tournament, Arkansas has so far defeated two double-digit seeds in Vermont and New Mexico State across the first two rounds, bringing the Razorbacks record to 27-8 for the season. With both games being close, the Razorbacks however struggled in particular offensively in their 53-48 Round of 32 win over the Aggies, shooting only 27.5% from the field and 18.8% from three.
For an Arkansas team that averages 76.2 PPG offensively, the Razorbacks will surely have to be better than the previous game on the offensive end to beat Gonzaga, as well as strong defensively where they allow only 68 PPG to opponents. The Razorbacks will also likely need big games from leading scorer JD Notae (18.4 PPG, 4.5 RPG, 3.6 APG) and Jaylin Williams, as well as others such as Stanley Umude, Au’Diese Toney, Davonte Davis, and Chris Lykes playing key roles.
As mentioned previously, Gonzaga entered the 2022 NCAA Tournament as the No. 1 overall seed, and have defeated 16-seed Georgia State and most-recently 8-seed Memphis 82-78 across the first two rounds. Owning a 28-3 overall record for the year, the Bulldogs are a Top 10 team nationally in both offensive and defensive efficiency according to KenPom, a group that averages 87.8 PPG (No. 2 nationally) while allowing 66 PPG to opponents.
Shooting a combined 52.7% from the field as a team, Gonzaga is led by 2021-22 WCC Player of the Year Drew Timme (18.2 PPG, 6.7 RPG), as well as presumed Top 3 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft in freshman center Chet Holmgren (14.2 PPG, 9.8 RPG, 3.7 BPG). Three other guards in Andrew Nembhard, Julian Strawther, and Rasir Bolton also average in double-figures, while forward Anton Watson is the primary option off the bench.

While Gonzaga will likely be considered as the favorite, Arkansas certainly has the pieces that could give Gonzaga trouble at times. However, the Bulldogs will likely have an advantage in the frontcourt with both Timme and Holmgren, and should win by anywhere from 5-10 points. Prediction: Arkansas 68, Gonzaga 76
