Sleeper – TE Elijah Brown

If you were to look for a “sleeper” recruit, or a player rated outside of the Top 100 in Alabama Football’s 2022 class that could play a key role starting in 2022, Brown could be the name to watch for.

A four-star prospect from Wayne High School in Ohio, Brown is a bigger tight end at 6-foot-5 and 230 pounds who was one of the earliest commits of the Crimson Tide’s 2022 class. Similar to Niblack previously, Brown is a receiving threat at the tight end position who can go up and win jump balls, while also a strong blocker along the line of scrimmage.

No, Brown may not see a significant role in the Crimson Tide’s 2022 tight end rotation with names such as Latu, Ouzts, and Niblack. However, Brown will likely become a significant member of Alabama’s rotation as early as 2023, with the potential to see time as a true freshman not out of the question either.

In addition to Brown, freshman defensive back Trequon Fegans could also be a name to watch for, and is someone who will likely see the field in 2022 on special teams.
