With the 2022 NFL Draft set to begin in the coming days, SEC Football will once again see numerous players selected within the first 32 picks overall. However, only one of those names will have the distinction of being the first player selected from the conference, joining an exclusive list in the process.

Speaking of that list, who are the players from SEC Football that were the conference’s first selections in the last 10 NFL Drafts, and where are they now?

Where are the last 10 SEC Football top NFL Draft picks at now?

2021 – Florida TE Kyle Pitts

The most-recent top pick from SEC Football, the former Florida tight end was selected with the No. 4 overall pick a year ago by the Atlanta Falcons.

The first non-quarterback selected in the 2021 NFL Draft, Pitts would be a day one impact player for the Falcons last season, appearing in a total of 17 games. Receiving his first Pro Bowl selection at seasons end, Pitts would catch a total of 68 passes during his rookie season in Atlanta for a total of 1,026 yards and one touchdown, and now enters his second season with the Falcons in 2022.

2020 – LSU QB Joe Burrow

The 2020 Heisman Trophy winner and a national champion at LSU, Burrow was selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals.

One of the NFL’s top young quarterbacks, Burrow recently led the Bengals to the Super Bowl in year two of his professional career, one in which he threw for a total of 4,611 yards and 34 touchdowns to win Comeback Player of the Year. Leading the NFL with a 70.4 CMP% last season as well, Burrow is entering his third season in Cincinnati in 2022 where he will likely eclipse the 10,000-yard mark for passing in his NFL career.
