The success from the SEC began from the very first pick on Thursday night when the Jacksonville Jaguars selected Georgia defensive lineman Travon Walker, tying the Bulldogs for the most No. 1 overall picks all-time.
As you likely know as well, that success would then continue as the SEC then saw three other names selected with the top 10 with Derek Stingley Jr going No. 3 to the Houston Texans, Evan Neal to the New York Giants at No. 7, and Charles Cross at No. 9 to the Seattle Seahawks.
Looking at which SEC team led the conference with the most players selected within the first round, defending national champion Georgia claimed the top spot not just within the conference, but overall. With all five selections coming from the defensive side of the ball (most ever in first round from one defense), Walker led the way for the Bulldogs at No. 1, while Jordan Davis, Quay Walker, Devonte Wyatt, and Lewis Cine were also selected.
