4. Florida vs Utah

Billy Napier is in a similar spot that Brian Kelly is in, except his opening game will be a whole lot tougher.

Napier and the Gators will have to play the defending Pac-12 champion Utah Utes.

Florida will presumably be the underdogs in this matchup and they face a Utah team that is returning 17 total starters.

One of those starters is dynamic quarterback Cam Rising who was responsible for 300 total yards and 3 total touchdowns before he had to leave the game with 5 minutes to go in the Rose Bowl.

Utah also scored big in the transfer portal by getting Florida linebacker, Mohamoud Diabate. He’ll add another dimension to this matchup.

The Utes are also likely a preseason Top 10 team nationally.

The Gators will have their work cut out for them after a 6-7 record last year.

If they can knock off the Utes in the opening week then they could build momentum going into October where they have a 3 game stretch against LSU, Texas A&M, and Georgia.

Luckily for the Gators they were 5-1 at home last year and they’ll get to play Utah in the comfort of The Swamp.

If the Gators have any chance they’ll have to find depth at running back and will need a some big plays from their receiving corps.

Next. Each SEC team's toughest road game in 2022. dark

If they don’t get that, then the Utes will roll out with a victory.
