A team that brought in names such as Zach Calzada, Jayson Jones, and more over the last couple of months, where are the Auburn Football players that entered the transfer portal this offseason however set to play in 2022?

Where are Auburn Football’s offseason transfers playing in 2022?

Offense

  • QB Bo Nix – Oregon
  • WR Kobe Hudson – UCF
  • RB Shaun Shivers – Indiana
  • QB Dematrius Davis – Alabama State
  • WR Elijah Canion – Purdue
  • QB/WR Caylin Newton – William & Mary

After starting at quarterback for the Tigers each of the past three seasons, Bo Nix is the biggest name to transfer from Auburn this offseason as the former five-star transferred to Oregon where he will likely start in 2022. As for the other notable names, both Kobe Hudson and Shaun Shivers both likely be key players at UCF and Indiana, while former four-star recruit Dematrius Davis joins Alabama State where is one of the highest-rated players in program history.

A majority of the Tigers defensive players to enter the transfer portal this offseason came along the defensive line, with JJ Pegues, Tashawn Manning, Tyron Truesdell, and Ian Matthews each landing with SEC programs. Former four-star recruit Ladarius Tennison also transferred to an SEC program in Ole Miss where he could play a key role for the Rebels in 2022, while two additional players in the front seven could potentially be set for a big 2022 in Romello Height and Lee Hunter who transferred to USC and UCF.
