The defending national champions, Georgia Football you could say is in rare company in college football at the moment as the Bulldogs have not added a single player through the transfer portal this offseason.

What the Bulldogs have had however is multiple names enter the portal since they won the national title back in January, a few of which have since transferred to some prominent SEC and collegiate programs. Who are those names, and where are they now?

Where are Georgia Football’s offseason transfers playing in 2022?

Offense

  • WR Jermaine Burton – Alabama
  • QB JT Daniels – West Virginia
  • OL Clay Webb – TBD
  • RB Lovasea Carroll – South Carolina
  • WR Justin Robinson – Mississippi State
  • OL Cameron Kinnie – UCF
  • OL Owen Condon – SMU
  • WR Jaylen Johnson – East Carolina

Undoubtedly the two biggest names to transfer from Georgia Football in the offseason were wide receiver Jermaine Burton and quarterback JT Daniels, both of which will likely be impact players in 2022 at Alabama and West Virginia. A majority, if not all, of the other offensive names will have a chance to see time this upcoming season, with arguably the most-notable name in former five-star recruit Clay Webb the lone player currently uncommitted.

Defense

  • S Latavious Brini – Arkansas
  • CB Jalen Kimber – Florida
  • CB Ameer Speed – Michigan State
  • DL Tymon Mitchell – TCU
  • S Daran Branch – TBD

A majority of the Bulldogs defensive players to enter the transfer portal this offseason came in the secondary, a group headlined by Latavious Brini who transferred to Arkansas and Jalen Kimber who transferred to Florida. Each of these names could easily make an impact in 2022 with their new teams, with cornerback Ameer Speed transferring to Michigan State as a potential player to watch for, as the former three-star enters his sixth season of college football.
