SEC Baseball has finally completed the road to Omaha as a total of four teams from within the conference are set to play in the 2022 College World Series, the most of any conference. Looking at those four teams as well, which players in particular will be key for their team’s success during the 2022 College World Series?

5 key players for each SEC Baseball team during 2022 College World Series

Arkansas Razorbacks

  • RHP Connor Noland
  • 3B Cayden Wallace
  • 1B/OF/DH Brady Slavens
  • C Michael Turner
  • LHP Evan Taylor

The Razorbacks will have one of the top starters of any SEC Baseball team in the 2022 College World Series in right-hander Connor Noland, who holds a 3.86 ERA with a 105:33 K:BB this season. In addition to Noland, another arm that could be key for Arkansas in Omaha is reliever Evan Taylor, a left-hander who holds a 3.46 ERA across 30 appearances this season.

Looking at the Razorbacks lineup, Arkansas has numerous players that make a key impact, a majority of which are all power threats offensively. Leading that group however are the duo of Cayden Wallace and Brady Slavens, both of which are tied for the team-lead with 15 HR alongside Braydon Webb.

Alongside Wallace and Slavens, another additional name to watch for offensively could be catcher Michael Turner. The senior currently ranks second for the Razorbacks in hitting with a .311 AVG behind only Chris Lanzilli, while also ranking second in hits as well with 73 behind the previously mentioned Wallace.
