Rated as a four-star ATH out of North Gwinnett High School in Georgia, Uzomah originally came to Auburn as a part of the Tigers 2011 recruiting class, one that ranked fifth nationally and second in the SEC. During his first season on the Plains as well, Uzomah would not collect any stats as a freshman in 2011 aside from throwing a touchdown pass, and would primarily see time on special teams.

A 6-foot-4, 264 pound tight end, Uzomah would grow into a bigger role in the Auburn offense as a sophomore in 2012, catching seven passes for a total of 136 yards and a touchdown. Also playing a key role in the running game, Uzomah would go-on to enter the 2013 season among the conference’s top returning tight ends, one that would be a special one for both the Tigers and the rising junior.

For an Auburn team that won the SEC and reached the national championship game, Uzomah would catch a total of 11 passes during the 2013 season for the Tigers, resulting in a career-high 154 yards and three touchdowns. Receiving Second Team All-SEC honors, Uzomah would also post some memorable moments during his 2013 junior season, with none bigger than his game-winning touchdown catch with :10 seconds remaining against Mississippi State.

Uzomah would go-on to post a similar stat-line in 2014 as a senior, catching 11 total passes for 145 yards and three touchdowns once again. Entering the 2015 NFL Draft at seasons end, Uzomah would conclude his collegiate career at Auburn where he caught 29 total passes from 2011-14 for 435 yards and seven touchdowns during his time with the Tigers.
