June Commits

  • 4-star PG Layden Blocker

After landing SEC Basketball’s top recruiting class during the 2022 cycle, Arkansas’ 2023 class received its first commitment during the month of June in four-star point guard Layden Blocker.

A Top 40 national player, Blocker is one of the top point guards in the entire 2023 class, as well as one of the highest-rated players at the position to ever commit to Arkansas. An Arkansas native, Blocker currently attends Sunrise Christian Academy where the 6-foot-2 guard is considered as one of the top players in the state.

A potential day one impact player for the Razorbacks in 2023-24, Blocker will likely be the favorite to start at point guard for Arkansas as a freshman, assuming that 2022 five-star Anthony Black leaves for the NBA at the conclusion of the 2022-23 season. Regardless of that though, Blocker is a big pickup for the Razorbacks 2023 class who should instantly play a key role as a freshman.
