Jalen Milroe

After showing flashes during limited action a year ago, combined with an impressive performance at the Crimson Tide’s “A-Day” spring game, Milroe enters the 2022 season as Alabama Football’s QB2, one who has a notable amount of excitement surrounding him entering the year.

A four-star prospect out of high school, Milroe appeared in only four games for the Crimson Tide a year ago as a freshman, completing 3-of-7 passes for 41 yards and a touchdown. While the now redshirt freshman’s arm talent certainly caught the attention of Crimson Tide fans last season, Milroe arguably made the most noise with his legs where he rushed for a total of 57 yards on 15 attempts.

One of the fastest players on the Alabama roster regardless of position, the talent alone is evident when watching Milroe on the field, meaning that the Crimson Tide could potentially get creative in using the redshirt freshman at times this season in various roles.

Looking at the former four-star’s 2022 season overall, Milroe should see an uptick in reps this season as the Crimson Tide’s backup quarterback, one who is of the top QB2’s in the entire SEC.
