Malik Hornsby

While Jefferson is undoubtedly the Razorbacks starter entering the 2022 season, the depth chart behind the redshirt junior could be important, with Hornsby as the top name in that conversation.

A former four-star prospect out of high school, Hornsby originally came to Arkansas back in 2020, but was behind both Jefferson and then Razorbacks starter Feleipe Franks on the depth chart. Sitting behind Jefferson last season as well, Hornsby now enters his third season in Fayetteville as the potential primary backup for the Razorbacks once again, one who did impress however in limited action a year ago.

After appearing in only one game in 2020, Hornsby played in a total of seven games last season as a redshirt freshman, completing 5-of-12 passes for 46 yards. The now redshirt sophomore however impressed most on the ground, rushing for a total of 136 yards and a touchdown on 24 total attempts.

Hornsby should be set for a similar sample size in 2022 as well, with the former four-star as the Razorbacks primary backup quarterback this season.
