Even despite the 2022 SEC Football season having yet to begin, it’s never too-early to take a look ahead to the 2023 campaign, is it? Well, let’s do just that, and offer some way-too-early predictions on who the starting quarterback will be for each SEC Football team in 2023.

Way-too-early prediction for each SEC Football starting quarterback in 2023

Alabama Crimson Tide – Jalen Milroe

Assuming that 2021 Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young will depart for the NFL at the conclusion of the 2022 season, it will set up an intriguing quarterback competition for the Crimson Tide next offseason. Milroe, a then redshirt sophomore, will likely be the favorite in that competition, but the former four-star will have to hold off current five-star freshman Ty Simpson, as well as incoming four-stars Eli Holstein and Dylan Lonergan.

Arkansas Razorbacks – Malik Hornsby

There is a chance that KJ Jefferson could depart for the NFL at the conclusion of the 2022 season, especially if the redshirt junior posts a similar season to a year ago that could see his draft stock rise. Should Jefferson depart Fayetteville as well, the reigns to the Razorbacks offense would likely be handed off to Hornsby, assuming the then redshirt junior would win the job over incoming four-star freshman Malachi Singleton.
