Missouri Tigers – Sam Horn
A four-star prospect in the 2022 class, there is a chance that Horn could win the starting job for the Tigers during fall camp, but it feels like he could begin his time in Columbia this season as a backup with names such as Jack Abraham, Brady Cook, and Tyler Macon also on the roster. However, it certainly feels like Horn is the Tigers quarterback of the future, and that he could takeover as the starter in year two at Missouri.
Ole Miss Rebels – Jaxson Dart
Assuming Dart wins the Rebels starting quarterback competition this fall, as well as remains Ole Miss’ starter throughout the 2022 season, it’s hard to imagine the USC transfer not being the choice for 2023. Dart would only be entering his junior season in 2023, and could be one of the conference’s top quarterbacks at the time.
South Carolina Gamecocks – Luke Doty
If Spencer Rattler were to depart for the NFL at the conclusion of the 2022 season, South Carolina’s quarterback competition next offseason would be one of SEC Football’s most intriguing. The most experienced name in that competition would be Doty, a then senior who began 2021 as South Carolina’s starter before suffering an injury, but the former Gamecocks starter would have to hold off others such as Colten Gauthier, Tanner Bailey, and Braden Davis to win the job.
