Florida Gators

A team that you could make an argument is the favorite to land Mizell’s commitment, could the Gators potentially add the in-state wideout to their 2023 class?

Well for one, the Gators have had a notable amount of success on the recruiting trail in the state of Florida when it comes to the 2023 class, considering 10-of-12 of Florida’s current 2023 commits come from the Sunshine State. Included in that group as well are a few notable wide receiver commits that include four-star Eugene Wilson III and three-star Tyree Patterson.

Should Mizell commit to Florida however, the four-star would become the highest-rated commit in the Gators 2023 class, as well as one of the highest-rated of the Billy Napier era. As for the potential impact in Gainesville as well, it feels likely that Mizell could become an impact player for the Gators offense almost instantly, potentially even in a starting role as a freshman.

Overall, should Mizell commit, it would be a big in-state recruiting win for Florida, one who would be one of the biggest names in the Gators wide receiver room as a freshman.
