Tennessee Volunteers

The final team in Mizell’s top three of SEC Football teams, could the four-star potentially end up in Knoxville?

The Volunteers currently hold commitments from a few pass catchers in the 2023 class at the moment, most notably four-star tight end Ethan Davis. Looking at the state of Florida in particular as well, should the Volunteers land Mizell, it would be the first time since the 2019 cycle that a wide receiver from the Sunshine State has committed to Tennessee (Malachi Wideman).

Looking at the fit with the Volunteers, a player with Mizell’s size and speed at the wide receiver position would certainly excel in a Josh Heupel offense. Speaking of that offense, it also can’t hurt that the Volunteers 2023 class also includes five-star quarterback Nicholaus Iamaleava, a name that could be one of SEC Football’s top quarterbacks from day one in Knoxville.

Should he commit to Tennessee, Mizell could end up being a day one impact player with the Volunteers for what could very well be one of the SEC’s top passing offenses in a year or two.
