No. 2: 2018 SEC Championship Game

In a rematch of the National Championship game from the season prior, Alabama turned back to their former starting quarterback, Jalen Hurts, in what felt like something straight out of a movie.

With Alabama down 21-28 in the fourth quarter, Hurts came into the game after Tua Tagovailoa was carted into the locker room with an ankle injury.

He immediately led the Crimson Tide down the field for a touchdown to tie it up 28 all.

A failed fake punt on 4th and 11 gave Alabama great starting field position.

On the ensuing drive, Hurts scored the game-winning touchdown run with one minute left in the ball game.

Hurts became a symbol for never giving up and in the era of the transfer portal many praised his willingness to stay.

Georgia was once again knocked off by the Crimson Tide.

Aftermath:

Alabama won 35-28 and held onto their No. 1 ranking which they had all year long. The Tide beat Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl but would go on to lose to Clemson in the National Championship Game.

For Georgia, it would be the second straight year that Alabama ended their National Championship aspirations. Though they would get another crack at the Tide a couple years later.
