SEC Football: Georgia, LSU among biggest July recruiting winners

There was no SEC Football program that added more commitments during July than LSU as the Tigers added 14 total, 11 of which came from the 2023 class. The other three in four-star’s Joseph Stone and Tayvion Galloway, as well as three-star Xavier Atkins, added to the Tigers 2024 class, one that currently ranks first in the conference.

Included in the Tigers 2023 commits however were a notable amount of names on the defensive side of the ball, a group that includes four four-star’s along the defensive line in Dashawn Womack, Jaxon Howard, Joshua Mickens, and Darron Reed. LSU also added two three-star cornerbacks in Jeremiah Hughes and Ashton Stamps, as well as a linebacker in three-star Whit Weeks.

As for the offense, LSU added their highest-ranked recruit in the 2023 class in highly-rated four-star wide receiver Jalen Brown, as well as two offensive tackles in Tyree Adams and Paul Mubenga. One of the more notable commitments of the month also came on offense in Kaleb Jackson, a four-star running back out of Baton Rouge.
