Among the preseason favorites to win the national championship, Alabama Football enters the 2022 season with a talented roster once again, one that also has a notable amount of experienced players returning at key positions. Looking at that roster, what is the Crimson Tide’s projected starting lineup and depth chart for the 2022 season?

(NOTE: This will only take a look at the two-deep depth chart for each position)

Projected Alabama Football starting lineup & depth chart for 2022 season

Kicker

Starter: Will Reichard

Backup: Chase Allen

One of the SEC’s top kickers, Reichard returns to Alabama for his senior season having made 40-of-49 field goals across the past three years, as well as 176-of-178 extra point attempts.

Punter

Starter: James Burnip

Backup: Jack Martin

Burnip returns for his redshirt sophomore season as the Crimson Tide’s punter, coming off a season in which he had 48 total punts, 15 of which were downed inside the 20-yard line.

Long Snapper

Starter: Kneeland Hibbett 

Backup: Gabe Pugh 

Hibbett returns to Tuscaloosa for his sophomore season, coming off a year in which he was the Crimson Tide’s long snapper as a freshman.
