If there is one notable strength for the Auburn Football offense entering the 2022 season, it comes at the running back position. A group led by one of the top running backs in the SEC, which names could see time at the position for the Tigers this season?

Tank Bigsby

One of the SEC’s top running backs, Bigsby returns to Auburn for his junior season on the Plains once again cemented the top option for the Tigers at the position.

A highly-touted four-star prospect out of high school, Bigsby has been an impact player for the Tigers from day one after stepping on campus in 2020, rushing for 834 yards and five touchdowns as a freshman. Already considered as one of the conference’s top backs, Bigsby took an even bigger step in production a year ago, rushing for 1,099 yards and 10 touchdowns on 223 attempts.

Having ranked top five in the SEC in rushing each of the past two seasons, there is simply no reason that Bigsby won’t do the same once again in 2022. The junior will be the focal point of the Auburn offense this season, and barring injury, should eclipse the 200 rushing attempt mark once again.

Expect yet another strong season for Bigsby in 2022, with the Auburn standout potentially set to post career-high’s in both rushing and receiving.
