SEC Football: Top 25 transfer additions of the 2022 offseason

20. S Joe Foucha – LSU Tigers

Foucha is an experienced safety who transferred from one SEC West team in Arkansas to another in LSU. Having collected a combined 230 tackles for the Razorbacks across the last four seasons, Foucha is likely to be an impact player in the LSU secondary this season.

19. WR Tayvion Robinson – Kentucky Wildcats

Kentucky had a transfer wide receiver make a significant impact a year ago in Wan’Dale Robinson, and Robinson could be next in line to do that in 2022. Robinson comes to Lexington from Virginia Tech where he caught a total of 113 receptions from 2019-21, translating to 1,555 yards and nine touchdowns for the Hokies.

18. RB Montrell Johnson – Florida Gators

Transferring to Florida in the offseason, Johnson is coming off an impressive freshman season a year ago at Louisiana, one in which he rushed for 838 yards and 12 touchdowns. The sophomore could play a key role in the Gators backfield this season, and is likely set for yet another strong campaign in 2022.

17. OL Tyler Steen – Alabama Crimson Tide

An in-conference transfer, Steen comes to Alabama from Vanderbilt where he was a multi-year starter along the Commodores offensive line. A redshirt senior, Steen enters the fall as the likely favorite to start for the Crimson Tide at left tackle this season.

16. DB Devonni Reed – South Carolina Gamecocks

Reed comes to South Carolina as one of SEC Football’s more experienced offseason transfers, transferring to Columbia after four seasons at Central Michigan. Having collected a combined 281 tackles during that span, Reed will be an impact player in the Gamecocks secondary this season, as well as one of South Carolina’s top tacklers.
